Golden hour hits different. That warm, soft light smooths skin, adds dimension, and creates a dreamy glow around everything it touches. It’s the closest thing to built-in magic, which is why I always recommend planning at least a few portraits during this time.

Sneaking away for ten minutes during your reception doesn’t take anything away from the party. In fact, couples usually love getting a small breather together. It’s a tiny, quiet moment to soak everything in—and the photos end up looking like they belong in a magazine.

Even if the day is cloudy or the sun hides behind the mountains, the light is still beautiful. Golden hour isn’t just about sun flares; it’s about softness, warmth, and the kind of glow that instantly elevates your portraits.
